Donna Armstead Woolfolk and the Voices of the Gospel
Allow me to introduce you to another local choir from Fredericksburg, Va., Donna Armstead Woolfolk and The Voices of the Gospel. They have been singing together for a little over twelve years now. Mrs. Woolfolk sang with several choirs before deciding to put together her own choir a few years ago. I was able to catch up with her for a quick interview.
33: Why Fredericksburg?
Donna: I actually love Fredericksburg! [Donna has a lot of family here and believes that there are some wonderful people here.]
33: What is your inspiration?
Donna: The Grace of God. [Donna loves togetherness and has a special love for Gospel music.] It’s worth it trying to reach that one person that needs to hear the message.
33: Do you have one goal for 2010?
Donna: To take our music ministry to a higher level while focusing on staying in the Will of God. [She would like to put more emphasis on getting closer to God and becoming a better musician.]
33: How would you encourage any other local group?
Donna: You have to love what you’re doing, love yourself and stay in God’s Word. [She also wants you to know that you have to practice…practice…practice!]
Donna is currently preparing her choir for a studio recording. We wish you much success with your upcoming endeavors.
